Ambullia is an easy stem plant that can grow under a wide range of aquarium conditions. Its one of our favorite stem plants here due to its "low tech" requirements and beautiful appearance as a background plant. The leaf shapes sort of look like mini Wisteria leaves but it grows more like a Cabomba.
This plant can be great for beginners because it is hardy and does not require CO2 injection. It does prefer a nutrient-rich environment and clean water. Ambullia requires moderate light or the lower parts of the stems can start to turn yellow and die off. It is propagated through cuttings that easily take root in the substrate. This plant can be grown submersed or emersed.
