The Malasa Yellow Tail Cichlid is found in very large schools in open water near reefs, where it feeds on micro organisms like Zoo plankton. The Malasa Yellow Tail should only be kept by experienced fish keepers. Larger tanks are recommended for a large school of these fast swimmers. They grow up to 3" inches and should be fed live foods as a preference, but frozen will do just fine.
